THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!

Well it's sad to say, the school holidays are nearly over!!!! 
Don't despair!!! With the start of a new school term comes the commencement of our term two classes!!! This term we are working on our performances! You'll see a lot of line learning and perhaps even some costume designing. The final touches will be put on everyone's performance because before we know it we'll be in the thick of the Shortcuts Festival!!! OMG!!! This is your chance to get your lines down pat because once Term resumes we are going to hit the ground running!!

More Holiday Fun!

The mythical creatures of Wizarding Worlds have been having a blast this week with our holiday program team! Not only have they been able to put together their own scenes but they have also been making and designing props and costumes for their show with Hayley Gillespie! Everything is really coming together for their show on tomorrow! The excitement here at TYC HQ is astounding, the kids are practically bubbling over with joy! If you missed out on our fabulous holiday programs this holidays then don't fear! Grumpiest Boy In the World!

Rehearsals are well underway for our next show, The Grumpiest Boy in the World! This is a fantastic show full of fun for children from 4 to 100!! The show is all about Zachary who desperately wants to find something that he is the best in the world at! 

Zachary Briddling dreams of being a king, riding a lion and making his favourite time of day – lunchtime – the main event at school. He dreams that the pictures he draws will have a life beyond the fridge door. But young Zachary bridles at ordinariness.....he is awfully middling. His hair sits quite fine. His teeth are aligned. His lines are expected, and his specs nonexistent. His mum reminds him of all the other places, filled with giants, and miniatures, and hairy things, and flying things – places where Zachary would not be middling at all. And so he sets out to stand out.

The cast, myself, Tom Williams and Danielle Aquillina, as well as our fabulous director Leigh Boswel and our awesome movement director Amelia Pegrum were in the studio last night rehearsing with our amazing set! We were lucky enough to get Hayley Gillespie to make the fabulous fridge as seen in the picture down below. As you can see it's being used for shadow puppets but that's not all! Reminders!!!

Before the term starts here are just a few quick reminders!
1) If your child's ShortCuts performance is on Sunday June 12th (CLICK HERE to check) just be aware of traffic conditions as this is the day of the Iron Man. This might mean traffic delays or a change of route to make sure that you're at TYC HQ for the call time!

2) Classes start the first week of term! Don't forget to bring your scripts and your water bottles to every class, it's going to be a big term!
