PLATFORM: Youth Theatre Festival is designed as a pathway for passionate young creatives (ages 13 years+) from within the Far North Queensland region to recognize the power of their own potential in creating exciting theatre experiences. PLATFORM seeks to offer young creatives viable opportunities within the arts sector through:
 
  • Offering a chance to self-produce original or existing theatre experiences for a wide audience.
  • Networking with like-minded young creatives within the region.​
  • Experiencing live theatre performances from other young creatives.

Dr. Soul, a celebrity therapist, views patients with absurd phobias. These include crazy characters with fears such as ‘hydrophobia’, ‘spectrophobia’ and ‘gymnophobia’, which are personified in unexpected ways. Are Dr. Soul’s unconventional methods enough to cure her patients?

​This show takes a satirical look at cultural assumptions, attitudes and experiences. It looks at racism, mixed race relationships, gender roles and sexuality. Each actor has taken moments from their own lives, and fitted them into this hilarious and slightly offensive show.
