ONE DOOR OPENS...

This week has been busy busy busy for us at TYC, lot's of exciting things happening. There are also some chapters of the year are coming to a close. Read on to find out more!!!

Roving Troupe!!

Our Roving Troupe was very busy this past weekend attending the Cairns Festival Parade AND the Children's Day.
On Saturday night the Roving Troupe teamed up with the Sassy Cats to patrol the parade as the Blue Line Brigade!!! This involved marching up and down the parade, making sure everyone was safely positioned behind the blue line. They had been practising for a few weeks, making sure all their formations were perfect!!! They had a ball on the night and, other than a few sore feet, had no regrets!!!

On Sunday they were up bright and early, ready to participate in the Children's Festival! They pulled out their "When I Grow Up" characters and got out and about, meeting lots of very excited kids!! Most of their time was spent climbing playground equipment and skipping up and down Muddies Playground!!! 
A HUGE congratulations must go to all the Roving Troupe members!!

School Holiday Programs!!!

These school holidays get along to TYC for some of our fantastic school holiday programs, facilitated by qualified, energetic, theatre practitioners!!!
In the first week we have our four day program, Troublesome Histories and our one day program, the Acting Olympics!!!
In the second week join us for our four day program, The Ghost Rangers and our one day program, Performance Bootcamp!!

Book now because places are filling up fast!! Just imagine the characters, scenes and costumes your child could create if they come along to our holiday programs. Freshwater In School Programs!!!

Our year 5 in school program at Freshwater State School is nearly over. The students had their final rehearsal today and it went very well!! We are very excited for them and can't wait to show all their parents what the students have been working so hard on all term!!! We are very proud of their efforts and can't wait to see it all come together!!!

Reminder: Some classes have been rescheduled next week. Letters went home with students in relevant classes this week and the information is available in our last newsletter :)

Between Us!!!

Between Us has come to an end (awww) but we are very proud of the cast and crew who put a mammoth effort into this performance!! I would especially like to thank the crew, Ellie Johnson, Jacob Ellis, Gemma Brocaddo, Darcy Maher and Amelia Pegrum who worked on a very tight schedule and delivered an amazing quality of show. A HUGE thank you and congratulations goes to the cast and crew, they did a superb job!!!
