Musical Magic | Monday 23 Sept | 9am-12pm Get ready to Shake it Off and dance to the beat these school holidays. Learn exciting acting through dance techniques that will enable you to bring your own creative vision to life through movement and music. Work with an ensemble of performers and expand your performers tool kit. Harmony Heroes | Monday 23 Sept | 1230pm-330pm Get ready to take centre stage and sing your heart out these school holidays. Learn exciting vocal techniques and explore the power of your own voice with mesmerising tunes . Expand your Musical Theatre skill set prepare to set the stage alight! Join us for one or both sessions on and get ready to raise the roof! Participating in TYCs action packed School Holiday Programs are lots of fun and sees participants make lots of new friends while also improving and extending upon their acting skills, self-confidence, problem solving abilities, communication and presentation skills, as well as fostering their individual creativity. Participating in TYCs action packed School Holiday Programs are lots of fun and sees participants make lots of new friends while also improving and extending upon their acting skills, self-confidence, problem solving abilities, communication and presentation skills, as well as fostering their individual creativity.
Throughout our 4-Day Drama Programs,students develop the essentials of stage performance through improvisation, role-play and characterization activities. They discover how improvisation techniques and the elements of drama (voice, movement, and body language) can be applied to scene work and inject clarity and spontaneity into their performance. In doing so participants develop their ability to think on their feet while performing in front of a live audience.
Participants will also have the opportunity to explore set and costume design as well as incorporating multi-media performance elements such as sound, lighting and live projections. At the end of the program participants will receive a certificate of achievement, autographed tailor made program from their show! They will perform for their parents and friends on the final afternoon in The Young Company’s very own Adventure Theatre Studio (tickets free).
