1. What do you teach at TYC?
At The Young Company Theatre we explore a wide variety of theatre styles and conventions (such as script work, improvisation and pantomime to name a few) for young creatives ages 5 years through to 19 years of age. Our unique theatre workshops are individually designed by our qualified educators and professional theatre practitioners to explore these aspects in an engaging and creative setting, each working towards an end of semester performance showcase.
Your child will discover their electrifying creative abilities, super charged social confidence and magnetic idea generation skills as they are nurtured through our powerful youth theatre framework.
We showcase young talent at the end of each semester, during school holiday programs, also during term-time for our main-stage productions and community events. We reinterpret classic and contemporary stories for our time and also commission brave and relevant new writing. We are as ambitious as the young people we serve. Participants make new friends while also developing their acting techniques, self-confidence, communication and presentation skills, as well as their creativity and performance resume.
