The realm needs your help! The Sorcerers Stone has been stolen by the evil Druids, freeing chaos magic and unleashing havoc far and wide! The world falls into complete disorder, in fear of being turned to stone! The Druids want revenge for being banished by the order of Sorcerers to the far reaches of the realm and they will stop at nothing to get their retribution. Their magic is so strong that the Sorcerers powers have been all but drained. It is now up to their Apprentices to save the day. This young group of student magic users along with their rag-tag team of friends are going to need your help in their formidable battle against the ravenous evil spirits and their evil Druid masters. Do you have what it takes to save the realm once and for all? Or will a darkness cover the land the likes of which has never been seen before? Special Guest Artist in Costume Design Build on your skills while applying vocabulary and technique to scripted material. Delve deep into next level acting skills as you learn to analyze text for objectives, stakes, obstacles, tactics and playable actions, all while working towards performing a show at the end of the week! Participating in TYCs action packed School Holiday Programs are lots of fun and sees participants make lots of new friends while also improving and extending upon their acting skills, self-confidence, problem solving abilities, communication and presentation skills, as well as fostering their individual creativity.
Throughout our 4-Day Drama Programs,students develop the essentials of stage performance through improvisation, role-play and characterization activities. They discover how improvisation techniques and the elements of drama (voice, movement, and body language) can be applied to scene work and inject clarity and spontaneity into their performance. In doing so participants develop their ability to think on their feet while performing in front of a live audience.
Participants will also have the opportunity to explore set and costume design as well as incorporating multi-media performance elements such as sound, lighting and live projections. At the end of the program participants will receive a certificate of achievement, autographed tailor made program from their show! They will perform for their parents and friends on the final afternoon in The Young Company’s very own Adventure Theatre Studio (tickets free).
