Holiday Programs!!If you can't get enough drama then our school holiday programs are for you!! School Holiday Programs are great for gaining more stage experience, designing costumes, creating scenes and curing the school holiday boredom!! We offer two different options during each week of the school holidays, both of which are equally exciting!! Option 1: One-Day programs. Our one-day programs offer a short and sweet drama course that can help students build their knowledge and confidence in drama. At the end of the day we have a small presentation for parents and friends so that students can showcase their newly found skills! This school holidays we will be running two workshops: The Acting Olympics will help students build on their performance skills and give them new techniques for developing character. These skills will help aid students in term classes and when doing in class presentations! See the buttons below for more information. In the second week we will be running a Performance Bootcamp. This one-day program will focus on musical theatre techniques and help students build the fundamental skills needed to excel in the musical theatre world (I might be biased, but this is not one to be missed!!). See the button below for more information! Option 2: Four-day holiday programs. Our four-day programs are epic! During the four days students will be able to build on their acting, scene creating, set and costume designing and backstage knowledge as they navigate the process of taking a story from page to stage! There is also a chance for them to hit the stage at the end of the week and perform for their friends and family! Troublesome Histories XXXI is all about saving historic Greek Olympians!! Will the team be able to find them in time??! This holiday program will not only explore the history of the Olympics but also explore how to create a scene that will captivate and enchant the audience! See the button below for more information! The second week will see The Ghost Rangers hit the stage. A supernatural crisis has occurred and only one team can save the town from impending DOOM! This week will bring students on a spooky journey as they navigate, not only the monsters, but the best way to give a spookily good performance!! See the button below for more information! Crunch Festival ScheduleThat's right!! Semester 2 means a whole new performance!!! Students will start to receive scripts and begin working on their plays very soon! This semester we work towards our end of year play season, the Crunch Festival. With an emphasis on building on what students learnt last semester we put together new plays and prepare to take the stage once more!
The timetable for the crunch festival (including tech rehearsal times) went home with students last week in their newsletters. Make sure you make a note of all the important dates and please let us know if there are any clashes, we will try our hardest to sort everything out for you :) While we're on the subject of performing...... It is ESSENTIAL that every child comes to class with a water bottle!! With so much movement and activities it is so important to us that every student stays hydrated!!! #TYCforwaterbottles #hydration I do believe that is everything!
