TYC 2019 MAINSTAGE MUSICAL:
SEUSSICAL
We are very excited to have a fantastic season of productions planned for 2019 including our MainStage Musical: Seussical!
Participating in TYC’s MainStage program will see participants engage with our regions professional arts practitioners. We are seeking young people between the ages of 10yrs+ to perform in our Mainstage Productions in 2019.
Our successful Auditionees will stage a full length scripted production for the general public and participate in various master classes with our regions professional arts practitioners. Our MainStage audition call is also open to all young people interested in performing so should you have any friends that do not attend TYC workshops currently, they are also welcome to register for an audition.

The MainStage rehearsals run on Saturday afternoons from 2pm in the Term that the specific production is on. There are four MainStage productions a year each running over the course of the term. Our MainStage Musical: Seussical will run over two terms next year with rehearsals running on Friday evenings for Term 1 and Friday and Saturday sessions for Term 2.
COST IF SUCCESSFUL
The current estimated cost is $460* (exc GST) for the MainStage Musical: Seussical which covers all of the above as well as the extended rehearsal time and the use of the new Cairns Performing Arts Centre venue for the production.
This covers participation in creative master classes with the regions professional arts practioners, royalties to perform the play, a copy of the script, participation in the creative rehearsal process with TYCs Artistic Director, personalized performance Program & show poster, production costumes, sets and props, Certificate of Production (exploring performance, set, sound, lighting, cinematic tech design inc marketing aspects) and a TYC Acting Profile for students performance resumes.
*Payment plans are available for all of our MainStage productions for 2019.
