Participate in our Summer Holiday programs and get set for a wild ride!
Celebrate the end of 2023 with electrifying dramatic escapades in TYC’s 4-day Summer Holiday programs. Join the chosen ones and save history from those who wish it harm in Medieval Magic & Mystery: Kingdom of Hearts (5/12-8/12), join the xmas time travelling squad and save the holiday season in A Time Travelling Christmas: Quantum Jump (12/12 - 15/12) or join Rudolph the red nosed reindeer detective and his mystery solver crew in the hunt for Santa’s kidnapper in Rudolph’s Holiday Rescue: Mission Unstoppable (19/12 - 22/12).
Then bring in the new year with an anime quest the likes of which has never been witnessed before in Anime Assemble: Get Ready to Rumble (9/1 - 12/1), finally get yourself set for the 2024 school year and save your new school from trouble in Return of the Trunchbull: Revolting Children (16/1 - 19/1).
Participating in TYCs action packed Holiday Drama Camp Programs take participants on an imaginative creative journey that sees our regions young performers make lots of new friends while also improving on their acting and idea-generation abilities, self-confidence, communication and presentation skills, as well as their creativity.
Throughout our 4-Day Drama Camp Program, students develop the essentials of stage performance through improvisation, role-play and characterisation activities. They discover how improvisation techniques and the elements of drama (voice, movement, and body language) can be applied to scene work and inject clarity and spontaneity into their performance. In doing so participants develop their ability to think on their feet while performing in front of a live audience. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore costume design as well as incorporating multi-media performance elements such as sound, lighting and live projections.
At the end of the program participants will receive a certificate of achievement and perform in a world-wide premiere for their parents and friends on the final afternoon in The Young Company’s own Adventure Theatre Studio.
