AS PART OF COMMONWEALTH GAMES, LIVE SITE FESTIVAL 2018, CAIRNS
Adventure is at hand with Former Commonwealth Champions Frank N. Fitness and his wife Flo A. Long; world famous for such events as the 1977 "100m Thong Throw" and the 1992 "12hour Koala-Nap-Athon”.

They’re not ready to retire just yet though!  They’ve got at least one more adventure left in them!  And they need you!

Having travelled Australia as Grey Nomads, Frank and Flo are on their way to the Gold Coast for the 2018 Commonwealth Games and have found themselves on a stop over in the beautiful city that is Cairns.

Sports enthusiast Frank has recently heard about the pure athletic and creative talent that Cairns has to offer and can’t wait to start training and recruiting for the next Commonwealth Games! And Flo, well she just loves everything that Cairns has to offer and wants to take in the sights!

However we have just received word all is not well for our dear Frank and Flo and they need your help!

Come and brave the challenges of the Far North on a grand new adventure
with Frank and Flo – meet the likes of unsuspecting local heroes like Diver Dan on the reef, and Cassie the Cassowary in the Cairns rainforest, Cane Farmer Kane, Vince and Vivienne Vine. as well as Sam and Sally Saver! There is so much to do and so many to meet.

Do you have what it takes to be an Everyday Hero? We think so! Stretch your creative muscles and join us for Hero Street in 2018!

Hero Street:
The Poem

Here on Hero Street
We spread kindness to those we meet
Our acts of awesomeness
Bring a haze of happiness

We give high fives
To those in our lives
That have taken a dive
And need a helping hand
From someone that understands

Heroes do what they can!

On Hero Street we dance
To the beat of the drum
We laugh and sing along
To the Unsung
The Special Ones
You know
The Givers who expect nothing back
The Helpers
The carriers of piggy backs

There’s a Hero within You
And a Hero within Me
Anyone can become a Hero
On Hero Street

And, here, is the recipe:
A spoonful of courage
To remove all your worries
A cup of compassion
With a handful of action
A dash of patience
A sprinkle of kindness
A yolk to put others needs above your own
Mix it altogether with your fabulous self
Now you’re an Everyday Hero,
And you’re here to help!
