The unthinkable has happened! Time glitches have started appearing all over Pixar Island. Characters are disappearing, stories are being left unfinished and the magic is slowly being siphoned. This can only mean one thing- someone or something is after the heart of the island and its affecting all the plans the Pixar Squad have for Christmas. The Pixar Squad are going to have to recruit characters from throughout the Pixar universe in order to discover who is threatening the holiday season, they may even call on a little help from he most famous reindeer of all time- Rudolph himself! Join Buzz, Sully, The Incredibles, Lightning McQueen and Rudolph himself. Travel throughout the magical Island of Pixar from story to story in order to discover the culprit who is determined to ruin Christmas for everybody! Can you take on the mission and save Christmas? Or will this year’s holiday season be the last… Special Guest Artist in Costume Design Build on your skills while applying vocabulary and technique to scripted material. Delve deep into next level acting skills as you learn to analyze text for objectives, stakes, obstacles, tactics and playable actions, all while working towards performing a show at the end of the week! Participating in TYCs action packed School Holiday Programs are lots of fun and sees participants make lots of new friends while also improving and extending upon their acting skills, self-confidence, problem solving abilities, communication and presentation skills, as well as fostering their individual creativity.
Throughout our 4-Day Drama Programs,students develop the essentials of stage performance through improvisation, role-play and characterization activities. They discover how improvisation techniques and the elements of drama (voice, movement, and body language) can be applied to scene work and inject clarity and spontaneity into their performance. In doing so participants develop their ability to think on their feet while performing in front of a live audience.
Participants will also have the opportunity to explore set and costume design as well as incorporating multi-media performance elements such as sound, lighting and live projections. At the end of the program participants will receive a certificate of achievement, autographed tailor made program from their show! They will perform for their parents and friends on the final afternoon in The Young Company’s very own Adventure Theatre Studio (tickets free).
