Are you an anime know-it-all? Can you name every character and detail the worlds beyond measure? If so, then this January- get ready to rumble as Anime hits the stage!
There is a legend that is shared amongst the true believers of the world- that a book exists with the power to bring the greatest anime features into the real world. Most believe that it is just that- a rumour. But there are those who know the truth- and what a disaster it would be if that kind of power fell into the wrong hands. This age old myth is about to be proved right- someone has discovered the power of the Book of Anime and has started unleashing the horrors within. Villains from every anime have started their own nefarious plots in the real world. It’s going to take the combined might of earth’s true anime believers joining forces with the likes of Goku, Monkey D. Luffy, Kakashi and Tanjiro as well as a host of other anime heroes. Can the heroes of Earth put up with the whacky antics of these anime heroes long enough to put a stop to the evil created by the Book of Anime? Participating in TYCs action packed School Holiday Programs are lots of fun and sees participants make lots of new friends while also improving and extending upon their acting skills, self-confidence, problem solving abilities, communication and presentation skills, as well as fostering their individual creativity.
Throughout our 4-Day Drama Programs,students develop the essentials of stage performance through improvisation, role-play and characterization activities. They discover how improvisation techniques and the elements of drama (voice, movement, and body language) can be applied to scene work and inject clarity and spontaneity into their performance. In doing so participants develop their ability to think on their feet while performing in front of a live audience.
Participants will also have the opportunity to explore set and costume design as well as incorporating multi-media performance elements such as sound, lighting and live projections. At the end of the program participants will receive a certificate of achievement, autographed tailor made program from their show! They will perform for their parents and friends on the final afternoon in The Young Company’s very own Adventure Theatre Studio (tickets free).
