Want to hear some unadulterated truths? Then get on yer bikes to The Young Company to see YOU’RE RITE a festival of short plays by young people for young people on Friday 29th October through to Saturday 6th November from 7pm at TYC Theatre, 169 Bunda St, Cairns City. All tickets $5 and sold at the door.
Over a two-week season you’ll be able to scratch the surface of a typical high school role call with A RITEFUL SIN where a host of modern day sinners witness how cyber space really bites. Rather witness what life is truly like being homeless at 15? Then come and see THE STREETS where strangers become enemies and friends become foes, and no one is on your side. Or why not take a side-splitting look at the rights, wrongs and in-betweens of raising teens in today’s fast paced world (from a teens perspective) with BRINGING UP TEENS THE RITE WAY where it’s time for that talk. Now only one question remains: will there be blood on the dance floor with THE FINAL NIGHT? Follow a cast of zany characters through the lead up to the most anticipated event on the high school calendar; but it’s not all silk dresses and sparkles.
