PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Delve into the wonderful wide world of Roald Dahl and Lewis Carroll as participants dig into the depths of their imaginations and devise their own weird, wacky and wonderous play. Drawing inspiration from characters such as The Red Queen, Alice, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, The Cheshire Cat, The Mad Hatter, Matilda Wormwood, Charlie Bucket, Willy Wonka, Oompa Loompas, Mr and Mrs Twit, George Henry Kranky and his grumpy grandma, James Henry Trotter and his wicked Aunties (Spiker and Sponge) and of course the Grand High Witches.
Students will then discover how improvisation techniques and the elements of drama can be applied to scene work and inject clarity and spontaneity into their performance. In doing so participants will develop their performance skills to think on their feet while performing in front of a live audience.
